Ms. Schiller is a former shareholder and managing partner of The Academy Law Group.  She stepped down as managing partner in June, 2017 and resigned her position as consultant effective October 1, 2018 due to her relocation to New Orleans.

Defeated a challenge to the validity of a mortgage based on alleged Truth in Lending violations.

The issue on appeal involve the disbursement of bond proceeds to the prevailing party on appeal.   Common sense would dictate that the prevailing party would be entitled to the bond proceeds which were posted for their protection; however, the specific issue presented to the Court relating to the marketability of the property with pending litigation had not previously been before the Court.
